Crash, A Central Theme

Abstract: A 3 page essay that discusses the central theme of this film. The central theme in the film Crash (2005, directed and written by Paul Haggis) is racism, as all of its ensemble of characters whose lives crash into each other over the course of narrative harbor some sort of racist attitude to greater and lesser degrees. Some characters, such as Jean, a white woman, is overtly racist. Others, such as Graham, an African American police officer, are less racist, but still convey aspects of racism.
